Stud Service
Stud service is available for approved dams. I have several requirements prior to breeding a dam. Read Below to learn more. Prices for each male is taken into consideration by size, color and Champion bloodlines.
Requirements
- Female must be registered with The American Kennel Club .
- Female must have good temperament (a non-biting dog).
- Female must be conforming to breed standards according to The American Kennel Club. (Must Show All AKC Documents)
- Female must be of good size for breeding, meaning not too fat nor to thin to breed. We would then, go from there for the best match of my males for breeding your female. I will be honest & upfront at all times and If I feel I don't have a good match for your female, we will not proceed.
- I must meet you & your female prior to breeding, must be a planned breeding. All breedings will be conducted professionally. I will not breed on a whim. This MUST BE planned ahead of time as breeding & pregnancy could have complications and should be always thought out.
- Female must be seen by her vet prior to breeding, giving me the ok to breed.
- At the Vet appointment the female must be stool tested and test negative for parasites (worms) and have a test for Brucellosis. What is Brucellosis? Brucellosis is caused by bacteria known as Brucella canis. The disease spreads from one dog to another during breeding or oral contact with vaginal discharges, aborted fetuses and placentas, semen or urine. It occurs most frequently in breeding kennels, though family pets may become infected also If your dog has never been sexually active then, more than likely this is something you do not have to worry about. At the Vet appointment they can determine when your female will be at her most fertile, having the stick test done can also help me as the stud owner to determine when would be the correct time to breed. Most females will start flagging their tail from side to side around the 9th to 13th day of her heat cycle and heat bleeding with go from a bright red to then a straw color, when it turns into a straw color discharge then she is fertile and it's time to breed. This is also why we must be communicating before her heat cycle begins. I must know precisely what is occuring and when to ensure that you get a litter of puppies.
- Dam (female) is required to stay at Stud Owners residence for a period of 3-7 days to ensure Dam was mated on correct day.
- Must sign stud service contract and pay upfront, in cash, at the time of stud service. Pictures will be taken of all tied mating for Stud Owners records.
Guarantee-Limitatation & Liability
I Marilynn A. Carraway of Le Caring's AKC Dachshunds will guarantee a litter for the stud service fee of $__________, if the female fails to get pregnant no refunds of your stud fee will take place, however, I will breed your female on her next heat cycle free of charge. If she fails to become pregnant again stud owner Marilynn A. Carraway will ask Dam Owner to have female checked for possible infertility issues. If original stud used for 1st service becomes ill, is sold, or dies Stud Owner Marilynn A. Carraway has the right to substitue with another suitable stud of her choice. YOU ARE BREEDING AT YOUR OWN RISK. Marilynn A. Carraway of Le Caring's AKC Dachshunds, in no way is responsible for any birthing problem, Vet expensives incurred or death of your Dam by the result of breeding with my stud. I the Stud Owner, in no way is responsible for the results of any offspring nor their conditions at birth. I will explain to you all risks involved and will be upfront and honest at all times. While your dog is in my care, I Marilynn A. Carraway have exercised reasonable & customary care for your dam SO, AS LONG AS I SHALL HAVE EXERCISED REASONABLE AND CUSTOMARY CARE, I SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE TO THE DAM FROM DISEASE OR DEATH DUE TO NATURAL CAUSES, FIRE, OR ACTS OF GOD OR ANY UNAVOIDABLE CAUSES. I Marilynn A. Carraway, the stud owner, will provide adequate Vet care if an accident while in my possesion occurs. Dam owner allows stud owner to transport Dam for Vet care. Dam owner is responsible for any Vet expenses incurred to Stud Owner while Dam is in my care due to no fault of my own, in this case Stud owner will be reimbursed any Vet fees incurred. Dam owner has the right to pickup Dam and take to her primary Vet but, if unble to do so Stud Owner will provide Vet Care to later be reimbursed. The stud fee includes the cost of boarding the Dam at my location during the initial period of stud service 3-7 days. If the owner of the Dam requires up to 7 days, after which time Dam owner will be charged a $10.00 a day boarding fee. If Dam owner fails to return for their dog after which time I will make several attempts to contact. I Marilynn A. Carraway will consider the Dam, stated above as abandoned after the 10th day of no return call from the Dam owner from the arranged date of return and pickup. I Marilynn A. Carraway shall be reimbursed for any needed Vet costs if Dam becomes ill due to no fault of my own, along with all boarding fees upon pickup. Stud service fees should be paid up front and by cash at the time of service when the dam is brought to me. I will not except PICK OF THE LITTER for payment unless I personally know the breeder well. When the litter is born Dam Owner must contact Stud Owner with ALL information petaining the newborn litter such D.O.B., living male and living females. AKC Litter registration application can be started online at http://www.akc.org/ once the litter is born, I Marilynn A. Carraway the Stud Owner will be notified by email to complete the puppies registration process on my end pertaining to Stud.
THIS ABOVE IS JUST AN EXAMPLE OF MY STUD CONTRACT AGREEMENT, NOT THE ACTUAL CONTRACT. THE ACTUAL CAN BE EMAILED TO YOU BY REQUEST.

Elvis: AKC Registered Black & Tan Long Haired Mini Male, carrying 50% Chocolate directly from his father. Champion Bloodlines. Throws nice coats! Never had any birthing issues so far delivering his puppies. He is on his 3rd litter for 2009 so, Elvis will be AKC DNA certified soon. Proven Stud. Stud Fee: $400.00
Otto: AKC Registered English Cream Long haired Mini. Champion Bloodlines! UK Lines and many more goodies. Unavailable for Stud Servicing presently but, will be in 2010. Currently in training to become a Proven Stud. Stud Fee:$600.00
